Dirk Kutscher to be next Internet Research Task Force (IRTF) Chair

As part of its oversight responsibility for the Internet Research Task Force (IRTF), the IAB is responsible for selecting the IRTF Chair.

After having served as Internet Research Task Force (IRTF) Chair since 2019, Colin Perkins will step down during IETF 122 in March 2025. The Internet Architecture Board (IAB) has appointed Dirk Kutscher as his successor.

The IAB thanks Colin for serving the community in this role for the past six years, and thanks Dirk for taking up the responsibility. The IAB would also like to thank the other volunteers for this position; with so many good candidates, it was a difficult choice for the IAB.
