The IAB is responsible for selecting a liaison to represent the IETF on the ICANN Board of Directors.

This position is reviewed every 2 years, but there is no limit on length of service.

The IAB expects to finalize its selection before the end of August 2024 and the appointee will begin participating as the new board of directors liaison by the ICANN 81 meeting in November.
